Kris currently works as an associate professor of Music at UIC. Kris has received a Doctor of Philosophy in violin performance from the University of Tasmania, Australia. She has extensive performance experience with international and well-known musicians such as Peter Tanfield and Christian Wojtowicz. She specializes in violin performance and string pedagogy. Her researches focus on contemporary violin music, music history and music technology including works by George Crumb, Terry Riley, Steve Reich, Philip Glass, and Robert Davidson.
