Dr Purrie Pui-Yee NG

Dr. NG first practised as an interior designer in residential and commercial projects and as a set designer in Radio Television Hong Kong. Then she joined the Curriculum Development Institute (Visual Arts) of Education and Manpower Bureau as Project Co-ordinator in curriculum design and teaching materials. Later she attained substantial experience in teaching, exhibition, programme management and revalidation, dissertation guidance and curriculum planning in various colleges. Her thesis is about environmentally-friendly design in hotel industries. Other papers include commodified images of wedding packages, needs assessment of design students.

Dr Barend Pieter VENTER

Dr. Ben-Piet Venter has been lecturing Marketing, Public Relations, and other related business subjects in South Africa, South Korea, and China since 1997 after he spent 15 years working in the fields of advertising, public relations and marketing in South Africa and Namibia. Dr Venter has delivered lectures by invitation at several universities in the USA, Europe, and South East Asia. He has published several peer reviewed papers and textbooks on marketing communication and has consulted with some major South African-based multinational companies, one of which is Media 24, a large shareholder in the tencent group. His passion is unlocking the potential of students who will be future business leaders.

Dr. Leung is a psychometric (Rasch/IRT) and biometric (iMotions certified) researcher, educator in arts and design management (graphics, multimedia, products, and experience design). Committee members of Innovation and Entrepreneurship and Career Development Office (BNU-HKBU UIC).

He is a member of the Art Directors Club (New York), Design Research Society (UK), National Council on Measurement in Education and Psychometric Society, Adobe Certified Educator (since 2012), Subject Specialist (Creative industry, publication and printing, 2006-2012) in the HKCAAVQ, Certified Assessors (Level 1 to 4) for Hong Kong Qualification Framework by VTC (Publishing and Printing), Chairman of SPCSPTA (2017-2018), Chairman of Hong Kong Design Community (2010-2012) and Founder of Hong Kong Design Directory (www.designdirectory.hk), Chief Examiner of HKDSE (Visual Arts and Design, 2014-2019) and IB Diploma examiner (Visual Arts). Dr Leung was an international jury of A' Design Awards and a psychometric researcher in creativity, his key research area is studying "The New construct of Measuring Creativity", effectiveness and scale development of measuring students' creativity, by objective measurement approach.

Dr. Wolfgang Xi WANG is an assistant professor in CCM. He received a Ph.D. in hospitality management at Iowa State University, and an M.S. in management and marketing at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. With research expertise in big data analysis, marketing, and consumer behavior of the hospitality industry, Dr. Wang has developed and published numbers of academic papers in both top-tier journals, professional conferences, and international projects, and was invited as ad-hoc reviewer for several journals. Dr. Wang got many professional certifications in the hospitality and tourism industry, including Certified Hospitality Educator (CHE®) and Certification in Hotel Industry Analytics (CHIA). Dr. Wang has more than 2 years' teaching and researching experience in the US, and more than 3 years' experience in the industry.

Mr Paul Kwok Keung CHAN

Mr. Paul Kwok Keung CHAN is a part-time lecture in CCM. He had received his MDes of Interaction Design in Hong Kong Polytechnic University (2008). Mr. CHAN founded Pauldesign Ltd. in 2001, he had fruitful experience in design and business. Mr. CHAN work with different client from Apple, Visa, Red earth, Chanel, Johnnie Walker, Denon, Shure, DuPont and HK public client like MTR, Octopus, etc. Mr. CHAN was a visiting lecture in HKU Space, Institute for China Business (2016-2018), Hong Kong Communication colleague in HKPolyU (2008-2011) and Hong Kong Polytechnic University (2006-2007). His specialization including interaction, retail and design management.
